Vanson Bourne are a Market Research agency that have been running for 20 years. Since 1999 Vanson Bourne have specialised in helping technology vendors understand and talk to enterprise organisations across the globe. They are primarily focused on providing market research for the purposes of marketing and sales engagement.Vanson Bourne required an overhaul of their brand to reflect the transformation over the 20 years.
We ran our discovery stage with Vanson Bourne’s marketing team to discover some key areas that we could build a narrative on. We settled on one key theme of “stories behind the data”. Vanson Bourne’s main differentiator is that they do not just take research questions and deliver data.Vanson Bourne work with clients to develop out really clear questions based on their objectives and deliver back narrative analysis of the results, continuing to support them as they deploy their campaigns.
We built this narrative/concept into the visual elements and language of the brand. The main imagery features the new brand mark with imagery placed into the space.
The front layer houses the “data” element – a series of abstract images that show different forms of data. The back layer houses changing imagery which relates to the different research subject types that Vanson Bourne engage in.
The new brand created a dynamic system for brand imagery, that backs up the client’s main selling point. They can change this imagery depending on the subject matter across proposals, presentations, videos and internal and external brand collateral. Vanson Bourne were keen to show off the technology link, and so the fonts and style selection were focussed this way.
